21 April 2017, 06:14 | Winston Chapman

Pearl Jam found a passionate fan in former "Late Show" host David Letterman, who came out of retirement to induct the band, filling in for Neil Young. "The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is thrilled that David Letterman has agreed to induct the band this Friday night at the 32nd Annual Induction Ceremony".

Pearl Jam was the final act to be inducted to the Hall of Fame on Friday, following up fellow honorees Electric Light Orchestra, Joan Baez, Yes, Tupac Shakur and Journey.

The legend of the late Chuck Berry permeated this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions at Barclays Center Friday night.

Stay tuned for the broadcast of the 2017 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which will debut on HBO at 8PM ET on April 29.

His wife, Jill, was teary-eyed in the audience at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as fans continued to cheer. They're true living cultural organisms.

Snoop Dogg was on hand to collect Tupac's trophy, more than two decades after he was shot dead in Las Vegas. But I still ❤️ you. Letterman said during his speech that he first met the band in 1988. Though Perry did not perform with songs "Lights", "Separate Ways", and "Don't Stop Believin'" with current band members Neal Schon, Aynsley Dunbar, Gregg Rolie, Steve Smith, Ross Valory, and Jonathan Cain, the entire group shared nothing but smiles and hugs onstage. "Looking forward to seeing them and all the other musicians on the bill".
