So that's how he does it.

While chatting, Colbert told Baldwin that he'd always wanted to act with him, to which the star posed the question: "Why not now?"

Baldwin said the experience has been both fantastic and eerie, because more than anything he's done in the past, people come up and thank him on the streets for his Trump impression, something he laughingly said his young daughter Carmen doesn't appreciate.

Big Boi announces new album; two singles coming Thursday
And that's not all Big Boi is up to today - he'll soon be releasing " Kill Jill " with fellow ATL rap vets Killer Mike and Jeezy . This is not the first time that Big Boi has collaborated with Killer Mike - they have a long and historied body of work together.

He showed Colbert how he prepared for the impersonations and discussed how he pulls the look off.

They also spoke about whether Trump has made it so entertainers can now easily get elected into the highest political office. "Go away!'" Baldwin laughed. "Lovely idea", Colbert said, "but the tax march did not get Trump to release his taxes, much like the women's march did not get Trump to release his women".

Despite some reservations about continuing to do his impression of Trump in the long-term, Baldwin will be doing so for at least three more episodes of "SNL" until it wraps its current season in May.
