Tiger Woods says he's 'trying everything' to play at 2017 Masters

Woods has not featured at a competitive event since February the third as his body continues to let him down.

Recently, Woods' agent Mark Steinberg refuted a report that came out saying the legendary golfer has not been able to practice since back spasm forced his withdrawal from the Dubai Desert Golf Classic.

Before Tiger Woods won the first of his four Masters in 1997, he played the event twice as an amateur.

"God, I hope so", Woods told Strahan. "I'm trying to get back and play".

"I've been a part of so many Masters over the course of my career, I know exactly what it takes to get ready for that event".

Asked if Woods has been hitting balls and putting at his compound on Jupiter Island, Steinberg added: "I don't want to talk about specifics yet". It's the first major I ever played back in '95.

UFC's Jimi Manuwa scores one-punch knockout, calls out boxer David Haye
Pickett began as a featherweight and has fought as low as flyweight during his UFC run. A second takedown was navigated around as Manuwa proved his homework was done in time.

"I need to get back physically", he said. I haven't been able to get as much prep time in, and I haven't been able to train like I used to or practice like I used to, so it's been harder.

"I know the mind is sharp", he said.

In 1995, Woods made his Masters debut as a 19-year-old Stanford freshman and was the only amateur to make the cut and tied for 41st.

Tiger Woods was in NY on Monday to promote his new book The 1997 Masters: My Story.

After Woods closed with a final-round even-par 72 in 1995, he left the course that evening to head back to Stanford so he could make his 9 a.m. history class. He has since canceled scheduled appearances at the Genesis Open and Honda Classic.

"We're not in a situation to even talk about playing in the Masters right now, " Steinberg said in the statement. "Hes gotten treatments and is progressing and hoping he can do it. Theres not been a decision one way or the other". "I couldn't give you a fair assessment, but to say it's doubtful is an absolutely inaccurate statement". Woods pulled out after the first round and the next three tournaments because of ongoing back problems. The first round begins on April 6.
