Sony Xperia L1 With 5.5-inch Display, 13-Megapixel Rear Camera Launched

Sony has announced an entry to mid-range, large-screen smartphone that offers numerous design motifs Xperia handsets are known for but won't break the bank.

The smartphone looks quite similar to other Xperia handsets, which can be either a good or a bad thing depending on who you ask.

Technically speaking, the Xperia L1 comes with a 5.5 inch HD LCD display while a narrow bezel design keeps it up to the current norm, that's kind of trending in the market. The Xperia L1 features an nearly edge to edge display.

United Kingdom govt halts YouTube advertising over extremism funding concerns
Google has responded, saying that its policies work as intended "in the vast majority of cases, protecting users and advertisers from harmful or inappropriate content".

Under the hood is a processor signed by MediaTek, specifically the MT6737T four-core 1.4 GHz. There is also 3x Clear Image Zoom, but we don't really have high expectations from it as far as actual usability is concerned. Being a Sony smartphone, the Xperia L1 comes with the company's signature xLOUD and Clear Audio+ technologies, along with stereo recording.

For a budget phone, the Xperia L1 is likely to be quite decent in terms of battery life, thanks to a 2620mAh capacity battery inside with Qnovo Adaptive Charging. It will be available from late April, but Sony is yet to announce United Kingdom availability and pricing. You'll find a 13MP primary camera on the back with an f/2.2 aperture and a selfie snapper with a 5MP sensor on the front. Aside from the aforementioned features of the Sony Xperia L, other notable specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, an 8 MP main camera, 0.3 MP front-facing shooter and a 1,750 mAh battery, according to MobilTelefon. Furthermore, the smartphone also offers connectivity features such as dual sim, Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and a microUSB Type-C port. No word yet on exactly when though.
