The status yellow warning advises that showers of snow are expected overnight and on Tuesday morning.

Temperatures are likely to fall below freezing nationwide tonight and hazardous driving conditions should be expected.

As much as 30mm of rain could fall today and into tonight - with Scotland and the north looking at up to 5cm of snow.
