Samsung Galaxy S8: Making iPhone 7, Galaxy S7 Edge Look Dull

Apple has been rumored to equip its iPhone 8 with a 3D Touch technology as part of the flagship upgrade. However the older Galaxy devices allowed users to unlock their phones with facial recognition, but Galaxy S8 would be the first to use the technology to verify financial payment applications. According to a tweet from Evan Blass cited by MacRumors, the 5.8-inch S8 will start at €799 ($859) and the S8+ will start at €899 ($967).

It's possible that these are accurate, or that they show the Galaxy S8 in some kind of screen cover, but they're certainly more suspect than other images.

While we won't know the differences between the Galaxy phones and the iPhone 8 until the fall, that hasn't stopped the rumor machine from working overtime to dig out specifications. Meanwhile, the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus will reportedly come with a 3500 mAh battery. The usual home button may not be at the same place. Other expected features include wireless charging, a base 64 gigabyte (GB) memory capacity and iris scanning.

Apple iPhone 8 will be a revolutionary phone and its advanced technology will impress everyone. There are many good as well as bad reasons for it being in limelight. This isn't very surprising since the Korean company unveiled a glossy "Black Pear" Galaxy S7 Edge version near the end of 2016, after noticing how large a popularity the iPhone 7 Jet Black managed to garner. Selling a premium-priced phone against Apple can be a hard proposition. A device with the same model number has been spotted on the official Samsung India website, tipping that its India launch is nearing. A 3D Touch display enables a smartphone screen to employ sensors beneath the glass, Recombu has learned. Previously it was used to help users unlock their phones.

Though Samsung was initially tipped to announce the S8 at the Mobile World Congress in February, it skipped the launch and announced new Android tablets.
