Mass Effect Andromeda Animator Threatened; Bioware Denies Her Lead Position At EA

Oculus VR owners will be able to become a different kind of superstar this week with the release of Rock Band VR. Since then, this lone BioWare employee has been flooded with angry messages on social media, accusing her of being unqualified for her job, along with the usual ugly threats and misogynistic comments. And while ten hours may be insufficent to judge the game as a whole, Andromeda's facial animations have come in for criticism.

Although, EA has denied her position as the Lead Animator.

Reviews for Mass Effect: Andromeda are expected to go up shortly, so stay tuned to GamingBolt to read our final impressions on the game. Those that she kept, such as her Instagram page, were made private after the bullying she received online. EA subsidiary Bioware issued a statement Saturday afternoon condemning the attack and saying it was a case of mistaken identity. "These reports are false". Instead of stopping the onslaught, however, the trolls who have pounced on the female developer have not let up in their assault. The harassment appears to have been primarily triggered by a vile blog post at Ralph Retort, a right-wing, GamerGate-tied website, that claimed Leost was the lead facial animator on Andromeda.

OK Rep. Tom Cole Says Trump Owes Obama An Apology
That was a statement made by a very talented lawyer on Fox, and so you shouldn't be talking to me. Britain's intelligence agency had earlier dismissed as " utterly ridiculous " the claims.

The trolling of Leost has continued so far, though numerous netizens have begun stating that the issue of Mass Effect: Andromeda's awkward facial renderings and Leost's role in the fiasco were overblown. They said that she was Misidentified as being the lead animator of the game's development team, and Bioware's Aaryn Flynn has issued a statement that she (Allie Rose-Marie) is not an EA employee anymore. Thus, while the finished product was less than stellar, the fault could hardly be focused on one particular member of the game's staff.

As for Leost, her involvement in the game remains a mystery.

As you may have already guessed, the target of this witch hunt is a woman.
