The Ireland camp met up on Sunday as they prepare for Friday's World Cup qualifier with Wales at the Aviva Stadium and as always, there was a few fallers at the final hurdle of clubs games over the weekend.

Hoolahan picked up a serious-looking hamstring injury in Norwich's win over Barnsley on Saturday and Ireland manager Martin O'Neill told the press today that he's likely to be missing for a "number of weeks".

Harry Arter, Rob Elliot, Paul McShane, Ciaran Clark, Liam Kelly, David McGoldrick and Shane Duffy miss out through various injuries while Robbie Brady is suspended. We got the news through on the scan and obviously it's not great, not great for us, not great for him and not great for his club.

O'Neill added: "Daryl, he has, I think at this minute, speaking to him last night, he his giving himself a chance, he's certainly not ruling himself out at this moment".

Six Nations Rugby to review incidents at end of France-Wales game
The referee is now checking with the TMO as there has been an allegation of a bite involving North in the middle of a tackle. Nothing comes of the attack though so France will have yet another penalty, and Barnes gives Warburton another warning.

Midfielders: Aiden McGeady, Glenn Whelan, James McCarthy, Jeff Hendrick, Robbie Brady, Conor Hourihane, David Meyler, Eunan O'Kane, Wes Hoolahan, James McClean, Jonathan Hayes, Daryl Horgan, Callum O'Dowda. He'll just take it on a day-to-day basis. However, other players will have to step up and be ready for Friday. We'll see what develops with the scan.

He missed Bournemouth's 2-0 win against Swansea this evening with a thigh injury, and while it had been believed that the midfielder was just suffering from a minor knock, his manager Eddie Howe appears to have ruled him out of featuring in the upcoming worldwide break.

"The irony of all of this is that way back when Gareth Bale got injured in November time, everybody was talking about Wales possibly having one of their major players out of the team, and it turns out that we are the ones who are doing the suffering". Captain Seamus Coleman sat out training due to a knock to the ankle but it is precautionary and the full-back is expected to be fine. If he doesn't train tomorrow, he'll train on Wednesday, so he'll be okay. "You know what he's like".
