Frozen pizza recall affects Nevada, 3 other states

Customers bought the 16-inch pies exclusively at Walmart stores, and the affected products are labeled with the lot code 20547. The pizzas were shipped to Walmart distribution centers in Nevada, California, Utah and Washington.

The possible contamination was discovered during routine sampling.

The recall announcement says no adverse reactions to the pizzas have been reported. "1821", which can be found inside the USDA mark of inspection. Consumers who purchased the recalled products were urged to not consume the pizzas and to return them to the store they were purchased from.

Vulto Creamery's recall expansion announced on Saturday brings the total number of cheese products pulled to 12.

The retailer said it started removing the products from its shelves and inventory as soon as it received notice of the recall from Rose & Shore, a food company affiliated with Vernon, California-based RBR.

CDC estimates that Listeria is the third leading cause of death from food poisoning in the United States.

Pregnant women who acquired Listeriosis were at risk of miscarriages, stillbirths, premature delivery or life-threatening infection of the newborn. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches, diarrhea and other gastrointestinal issues.
