Steelers sign former Chiefs RB Knile Davis

While the Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to host free agent defensive lineman Tyson Alualu in the coming days, the team reportedly has two other free agents in for visits on Monday.

The team announced Monday afternoon after Davis had signed a one-year contract. He previously spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers. He was then re-signed by the Chiefs.

Cornerback Coty Sensabaugh was drafted by the Tennessee Titans back in 2012 and was most recently with the New York Giants. His best year came in 2014 when he had 134 carries and 463 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns.

Sensabaugh signed a three-year, $15 million contract with the Los Angeles Rams prior to the 2016 season, but was cut October 8 and signed by the New York Giants, with whom he finished the season.

Sensabaugh played for the Giants and Rams last season, starting two games of the 13 he played.

Davis has some value as a kick returner as he's returned 73 for 1,960 yards and two touchdowns during his career.

If Davis makes the Steelers roster, it will likely be as a return specialist as the team continues its search for Le'Veon Bell's primary backup.

A product of Clemson, Sensabaugh originally entered the National Football League as a fourth-round (115th overall) draft selection in 2012 by the Tennessee Titans.
