Titled More Life, the 22 tracks were premiered on Drake's Beats 1 show, OVO Sound Radio, on Saturday without warning.

Ultimately, it's Drake's perception of himself as both transnational tastemaker and music-industry monarch that best explains why he'd follow up "Views", the biggest album of his career, with "More Life", a sprawling, genre-bending playlist that leans on intricate arrangements by innovative producers and the vocal abilities of other artists.

The Toronto rapper's playlist features a number of cameo features from artists like Young Thug, Kanye West, Travis Scott and 2 Chainz, in addition to some new music by Drake, in addition to the previously released singles "Fake Love" and "Sneakin'".

He may have made the world wait long enough, but Drake's More Life is finally here.

OPEC May Extend Supply Cuts to Bolster Recovery in Oil Prices
Growing U.S. production is playing into concerns about the effectiveness of the deal between members of OPEC and other producers. Last March, trade sources reported a surge in oil exports to Europe after the removal of sanctions against the country.

Drake's previous set of new songs, last year's LP Views, was a complete Apple exclusive for two weeks - and was unavailable on Spotify during its first fortnight after release. Drake randomly features South African producer and DJ, Black Coffee, and fellow Canadian, PartyNextDoor.

Drake, the prolific hip-hop star who was last year's top-selling artist, has returned with a song collection in which he ventures further into dancehall rhythms and taps fellow big names. He says, "Taking summer off cause they tell me I need recovery / Maybe gettin" back to my regular life will humble me / I'll be back in 2018 to give you the summary'. She asks him to check his emotions saying, 'this negative tone that I'm hearing in your voice these days.

Of course, he finally did release it as promised, and stans are already treating every word of "More Life" like it's gospel.

This isn't some kind of bold new innovation on Drake's part, of course; mixtapes have long served as amuse-bouches between "proper" albums, perhaps no more visibly than for Drake's own mentor, Lil Wayne. In a 2011 interview, also with Semtex, he said that he regretted how his debut LP, Thank Me Later, had been rushed-so much so that "9AM in Dallas", one of his best-received songs to that point, missed the deadline for mastering. "That attitude will just hold you back in this life". He plays it off like he's not even trying- the term playlist implies something fleeting, as if Drake is just trying to get this hour-and-half of music off his mind.
