Trump expected to name Republican media firm owner to run White House communications

Reports: Mike Dubke to be named White House communications director

The White House is set to name Mike Dubke, the founder of Crossroads Media, as its communications director, sources told Fox News.

With the anticipated appointment, which a White House official confirmed Friday, President Trump will be reaching outside his circle of trusted campaign aides to try to bolster his messaging operation.

Trump initially hired campaign aide Jason Miller for the communications job, but Miller withdrew before the inauguration.

According to its website, "Crossroads Media (CRM) is the premier Republican media services firm, specializing in advertising strategy and placement for political candidates, issue advocacy organizations and trade associations".

He is currentlya founding partner, along with Carl Forti and Brian Jones, at the Black Rock Group, a strategic communications and public affairs firm, based in Alexandria, Virginia. But in a statement in December, Miller said he decided not to take on the role so he could spend more time with his family.
