In Marshall, Holy Family Parish on South Beebe Street will hold a community blood drive on March 7 from 1 to 6 p.m.

The release states every USA president has declared March as Red Cross Month since 1943.

While the need for blood is constant, the number of donors decreases when the temperatures fall. "If it had not been for blood donors, she might not have survived", he said.

"I always donate blood".

The Red Cross depends on blood donor heroes across the nation to collect enough blood to meet the needs of patients at approximately 2,600 hospitals nationwide. Donors with all blood types are now needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients.

The American Red Cross is asking for blood and platelet donors to make a donation appointment.

It's the third blood drive in Kokomo given in Gradyn's name, and the second sponsored by the American Red Cross.
